Xiaomi Mi Max 2 launched with 6.4-inch display and 5,300 mAh battery



The Mi Max 2 was rumored to show up more than a month ago, but now it has finally arrived. Xiaomi unveiled the handset at a launch event in Beijing and it boasts a full metal unibody with rounded edges.



 Mi Max 2 sports a 6.44-inch, 1080p display and a whopping 5,300 mAh battery (with USB Type-C connectivity). The handset also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 which Xiaomi says will provide as much as 68% battery life from a one-hour charge.




The Mi Max 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage space (depending on which model you want), expandable up to another 128 GB via microSD card. As for the dimensions, the handset comes in at  174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm.

On the rear of the device, you’ll find a 12 MP Sony IMX386 camera sensor with 1.25μm large pixels and phase detection autofocus, as well as a circular fingerprint scanner. The front-facing camera, meanwhile, comes in at 5 MP with an 85-degree wide-angle lens.

Further, the Mi Max 2 includes an IR Blaster and will run MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat.
