Samsung has started working on Galaxy S9, S9 Plus. We may see them early next year

Published by Shubham Mapari on

Samsung has reportedly already started working on the successor of its Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone, likely to be called Galaxy S9. There is also a big screen variant of the handset under work, which is expected to be called Galaxy S9 Plus. Both smartphones are reported to be under development with the codenames ‘Star’ and ‘Star 2’.

The report further adds that the upcoming flagship smartphones will feature a similar display technology as the existing flagships, which indirectly means that there won’t a foldable or flexible display in the handsets. However, they could come with next-generation AMOLED screens with ‘Infinity’ display technology.

Also, the report adds that the company has accelerated production of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus’ components. This has been done in order to launch the smartphones on time or before it. Nothing else has been mentioned yet.
